Wade Keenan

“There is tremendous value in leveraging the enterprise and entrepreneurial mindset.”

Wade focuses on building authentic leaders for changing environments.

Wade spent 15 years working at Visy Industries starting from the age of 19 while playing professional football and completing his university studies at night.

Learning how to balance priorities, synthesize complex issues and lead teams he started working directly for the CEO and Owner at a very early age and was given major assignments within the business that required leadership and disruption.

Wade’s responsibilities at Visy included managing director board appointment, country manager NZ, general manager strategy projects, divisional operational excellence for the packaging businesses, general manager technology and plant manager roles. Additional challenges included acquisition and integration of Australia’s plastics industry, international business and co-relationship assignments in Europe and USA. The business size responsibility ranged from 10M to 1.8B.

Learning, building and eventually designing the business and people systems that drove consistency and resilience, Wade was very fortunate to “grow up” amongst the giants of the entrepreneurial world allowing him to then lead major parts of the business.

Wade learnt very quickly how to “bridge the age and respect gap” working for, and then along side the senior leadership team, balancing speed and acceptance in the drive for change.

Recently Wade studied at Stanford University, California & INSEAD Fontainebleau, France. He has recently completed executive leadership coaching and neuro linguistics accreditation. Wade is a Stanford, INSEAD & Leadership Victoria, Williamson Community Leadership Alumni.
